Guest guest
Good Morning, I had my UAE 4 months ago. I posted about 1 month after UAE and here I am again. I think it is important to share with others. I am doing well after UAE. My symptoms improved, especially the bleeding. I had bulk symptoms but didn't know it until they were gone. I thought the frequent urination and occasional constipation was just normal until I didn't have it anymore.I also noticed that the " lump " above my pubic bone has gotten much smaller and not as firm. I have had a couple of periods and 2 of them had a couple of very heavy days but no gushing and they did stop ( yeah!!!). I have had small amount of spotting between periods which actually looked like some tissue sloughing ( hope it was the fibroid breaking down ) This month I am having a very strange period. Almost like just scant amount of bleeding with minor cramping. I don't know if this pattern is normal after UAE. My IR doesn't do the ultrasound at 3 months but I am scheduled to go back at 6 months post UAE for the ultrasound. I took motrin for a month after the procedure and I had one of the little known side effects of motrin. It cause my blood pressure to go up so I stopped taking it and I am fine. My hemoglobin at its low point was 8.6 and now I am in the normal range about 12 and not tired all the time like I was before. I have even gotten back to a normal exercise routine. I do feel like my right leg (where the groin incision was made) feels like it is getting " tired " when I exercise though I have no pain , numbness, or coolness in that leg. I hope this helps someone reading this board who is trying to make a decision. It is great to read that so many are having success with this procedure.
