I took Lupron for 3 months prior to surgery so that we could get my

iron levels up and also as a side-effect shrink the fibroids. My

iron levels did go up but the fibroids did not shrink. It is my

understanding that you should not take Lupron longer than 6 months.

It is also my understanding that if you take it longer than 3 months

you should take a Calcium supplement.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Is'nt Lupron supposed to be NOT taken more than 6 consecutive months?

Like I said, i'm seeing my doctor this week, but I guess for now he

wants me to take it to reduce the size of my bigger fibroid (9 cm)

before removing it.

The prescription if for 3.75mg
