Guest guest
I took Lupron for 3 months prior to surgery so that we could get my iron levels up and also as a side-effect shrink the fibroids. My iron levels did go up but the fibroids did not shrink. It is my understanding that you should not take Lupron longer than 6 months. It is also my understanding that if you take it longer than 3 months you should take a Calcium supplement. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions! > the prescription, now that it's been " translated " by the pharmacist, > read: 3 doses: 1 every 2 months. This means a 6 months treatme Is'nt Lupron supposed to be NOT taken more than 6 consecutive months?
Guest guest
Like I said, i'm seeing my doctor this week, but I guess for now he wants me to take it to reduce the size of my bigger fibroid (9 cm) before removing it. The prescription if for 3.75mg > > Hi all, > > > > My doctor prescribed Depo-Lupron in preperation for > > (I hope) myo. > > > > On the prescription, I could read the name of the > > medecine, the " x 3 " > > meening 3 doses and some other stuf I could not read > > (where do > > doctors learns to write ?!) > > > > So I thought the whole treatment would last 3 > > months. > > > > So today, I go out and buy the first dose.
