I don't know for sure, but I don't think the anemia causes the clots. I

think the heavy bleeding and clotting causes the anemia. At least it did in my

case.

I am no longer anemic. I had taken iron tablets for about 4 months and got

my iron level back to normal that way. I was on heavy duty birth control pills

to help control my bleeding, too. I then did a UAE in Nov. 02. It was a

godsend. I now have periods that last 4 to 5 days, with only moderate to light

bleeding. No clots (thank goodness) or cramps even. My UAE was a success.
