Concern grows about fire retardants

Concern is growing about fire retardants that are used in computers, hair

dryers, sofa cushions, auto dashboards, and many other products.

Researchers have found that the chemicals are building up in the bodies of

humans and animals.

Several states, the European Union, and Canada have banned some forms of

these chemicals,

which have been shown to cause reproductive and learning problems in animals.
