Guest guest
e, I wanted a test to show me that all I have is a benign condition, sometimes it just doesn't feel that way. Dr Milad at Northwestern took blood and is using last years mri for cancer test(never did it before). I am giving him a chance since that is my hospital and he an excellent doctor. I hope he can interpret the data correctly since it's all about cancer which I need reassurance I don't have. I had asked him to biopsy the focal adeno, he said you can't do that He also had done my endo biopsy 6 mo ago(neg) I have an appointment Tuesday where we will review annual pap and findings from this blood/mri test. I also saw Dr.Zinamin 1/04 at Loyola for a second opinion, not for the blood test. Both men are skilled REs'I cannot find any background info on either of them outside of what the hospital lists. My feel is that Zinamin has an edge with experience and large fibroids. Chicago needs a fibroid clinic. 2 weeks ago the Tribune ran a big UFE article which really helped inform. Not any of the 3 gyns I saw early on even mentioned this procedure as an option. My periods stopped at Christmas (great gift) I spot now every 30 days (just 1 pantyliner!) The pain is still around. 1/04 US says uterus is holding at 14 wk size. Because I am so close to menopause I have been waiting to see if fibroids correct Bulk is still there big time. My cervix opening is stretched way out because of the fibroid pressure I am told. Neither Dr. seems concerned about this.
Guest guest
I didn't look at northwest as close as the other two UoChicago and Loyola due to insurance and driving issues.- Is Milad the only one there that treats fibroids You are right Chicago needs to centralize info on fibroids --- maria gartland m.gartland@...> wrote: > Chicago needs a fibroid clinic. 2 weeks ago the > Tribune ran a big UFE article which really helped inform.
