Post-myo - wearing normal clothes

Could anyone give me an idea as to how long it takes for the swelling

of the abdomen to go down after a myo? I just wondered how long it

would be before I could wear trousers [=slacks/ pants] and skirts. At

the moment- 10 days post-myo- I only dare wear jogging pants as

they're nice and loose and don't press on the abdomen.

Hi Sue,

Yesterday was the third time I wore pants since surgery (Jan 21st). I

finally feel " comfortable " wearing them. I say comfortable loosly

because they still feel tight and cause pain but I can tolerate it

and it feels good to wear clothes again. So 10 days is early. In

your 3-4th week you should start feeling like you can wear pants.

Just relax and hang around in comfortable jogging pants.

Hi Sue

My Myo was on Jan 29th and I have slowly been able to

wear loose pants this past week. I bought a couple of

pairs of pants pre-Myo in a size larger than I

normally wear so I wouldn't be restricted to jogging

pants, although I wear the jogging pants most of the

time.
