Hi Patty,

I'm the same age as you are and I'm going to the Gyn for a surgery consult

tomorrow. I'm pushing for a myo as well.

I've been ruled out for UAE, due to having pedunculated fibroids. I've tried

repeatedly to get more info from the IR, such as size and location of fibroids,

but he doesn't return my calls. I'm wondering if I just go and get the MRI

results/film or whatever they give you, would I be able to figure out this info

on my own?

I'm tired of getting the run-around from medical professionals.

I just got back from an appointment with a new doctor. I basically fired my

previous doctor, in that, she said hyst or total hyst. 2 choices?

anyway, i am 47, but, i still would like to keep whatever i can of my organs.

It is interesting to me that so many women think that a hyst is no big deal.

THIS group was very supportive to me, last December, when, my doctor had just

said Hysterectomy. I cried very much. Except for this group, there really is

nobody else for me to talk to.

Anyway, i have another ultrasound in the next few weeks. This new doctory says

that he does myos all of the time, and, that the most fibroids, from one person,

that he has removed was 27.

Thanks for your continuous support. I don't know what I would DO without this

group!

Patty
