Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just wanted to know if any one else experienced trouble sleeping after their abdomen myo surgery? I was a great sleeper and it's actually something I enjoyed very much. Since having my surgery last Thursday (March 18) I can't get comfortable. I used to sleep on my side and now it hurts like crazy. The staples feel like they are pulling. I have a vertical inscision which goes from my belly botton down. After sitting and resting throughout the day my back just kills me. Also, now when I lay flat on my back I feel like I'm having trouble breathing. I try propping myself up with pillows, but I'm just so uncomfortable. The reclining chair is also making my back hurt. I try and move around as much as I can to keep my back from hurting, but it's not working. I tried a few nights to take the percoset (sp) before bed, but they aren't knocking me out either. Anyone have any suggestions? I miss my sleep and am exhausted. Other than the sleeping problem my recovery is going great. However, I'm writing this to you all at 4:13am and I just so desperately want to be lying comfortable sleeping in my bed/chair. Anyone else have these troubles? Thanks, Pam
