Need of a Referral in Vancouver, BC

I was wondering if anyone on this Board knows of a good gyno in

Vancouver, BC. 1 month ago, during my check-up, my GP felt an

enlarged uterus and figures I have a grapefruit sized fibroid. 3

years ago I had an ultrasound as I was experiencing spotting after

intercourse and the tests showed a small fibroid just above my

cervix. The position of this one he stated is on the upper right

pole so I do not know if he felt a grapefruit or if that is just the

size of the uterus in general.

He wanted to do a watch and wait as I do not have many symptoms

except for a distended belly and the need to pee quite a bit more

than normal. Have always had very heavy periods so this is nothing

new. I asked him for an ultrsound test which I am having

tomorrow....Finally!

I will be requesting an appt. with a gyno who is familiar with myo's

as this is where I seem to be leaning with all I have read here over

the past month.

Anyone out there that has a good referral for me - would be much

appreciated.

Here in Canada the wait for tests is soooo very long so I will be

glad, believe it or not, to find out it is just a fibroid and

nothing worse......to be honest my imagination has been getting the

best of me even though some of you have written to ease my mind
