Guest guest
I'm quite bummed really, after hearing today that I am not a candidate for the UAE. I wasn't able to talk directly to the IR, as he wasn't in today, but I spoke to someone who works for him. She told me I wasn't a candidate because of having pedunculated fibroids. She said it could be dangerous. She didn't have too much other info. She said he was going to write a letter to my GYN and that I should ask my GYN about it. I told her I wanted to talk to the IR, and she insisted I should talk to the GYN. When I had met with the IR originally, he had given me his card and said I could call him any time and this woman ( the one I spoke to today, I'm not sure if she's a receptionist, or what) could track him down any time. I guess I'll try and talk to him tomorrow. I hope she puts me through to him. Now I'm not sure what to do. I suppose a hysterectomy makes the most sense, seeing that the fibroids can grow back, but I'm not sure. How do I make an informed decision? How do I make a tough decision? I seriously don't want the long recovery, but I need relief from the bulk symptoms. If I do decide to have a hyst or myo, how do I determine if the GYn is a good surgeon or not? I really need help figuring that one out. Annette
