Guest guest
Hi, Many women say they feel like no pain after their resection, light spoting. Many go out to dinner and resume normal activity as soon as the meds wear off. I had a lap (gall bladder removed) and it wasn't a big deal. I did go home and eat dinner. The incisions ARE covered by bandaids. I had 3 incisions. My navel scar is inside my navel and you have to really look for it. My lap scars seem to be thicker than my myo scar which is a fine line. Neither of these procedures should scare you, they're not bad at all. I had my gall bladder and myo surgery within a year. Still ask for something to settle your stomach in your IV during surgery. Why risk the meds upsetting your stomach. Ku deborahepifani deborah@...> wrote: Hello Ladies, Thank you all for your great information, especially Sonja! I had my second opinion with Dr. Chetkowski and he was wonderful, very professional and informative. He answered my millions of questions with clarity and patience. He suggested I have resection surgery to remove my one submucosal fibroid. He doesn't think my intramurals will pose a problem (with ttc). He does want to perform a diagnostic laparoscopy at the same time to help with the procedure and check the health of my tubes (there was a question after my HSG that I had a blocked tube). After the surgery he said ttc for 6-12 mo. If I'm still having problems ttc...then he said we'd consider a myo. Why not be conservative? It makes sense to me. As excited as I was to hear the news...now I'm really nervous! I know it's an outpatient procedure...but what can I expect? They mentioned Laminera (sp?), a seaweed like subtance they give you the day before to start dilation? Have any of you had that? How will I feel after the surgery? When can I resume regular activity? What about the laparoscopy? He called the incisions " bandaid wounds " . Do I have to worry about scarring under my navel? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!! Wish me luck! And hopefully after all this, I'll finally be able to get preggers! We'll see. Deborah
