These were all hysterectomized women on estrogen without progesterone in any form. If you ask me, it’s another reason to avoid hysterectomy. What are you going to do afterwards???? “Second estrogen trial stopped by U.S. researchers “Last Updated: 2004-03-02 9:32:24 -0400 (Reuters Health) “By Maggie Fox “WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The National Institutes of Health said on Tuesday it had stopped a large trial of women taking estrogen replacement therapy after finding the pills not only failed to improve their health, but may have slightly raised the risk of stroke. “It is the second large trial of hormone replacement therapy to have been stopped abruptly in two years.
