Report from San Francisco

It was great to get to know more fibroid women Saturday & to see others I’ve

met before. We had 7 women at our MeetUp – and I count it as yet another

SUCCESS. It was especially fantastic to see Jackie again. I about fell off

my chair when she walked in. Now that she’s post myo – she looks like a

whole new woman !!! - What a great change. How rewarding for us to be able

to see her looking sooooo great. It was also great to see friends again:

Lori – who I’ve known since Opening Doors and – who I met at the

January S.F. meeting. Additionally, Jean, Judith and Lola – great to have

new fibroid friends too. We exchanged stories & ideas, suggestions,

questions, answers and information. I think it was productive. I hope to

keep on hearing from all of you here, on-line.

It is possible to say so much more – to interact so much more completely and

effectively in person. Exchanging ideas and having lots of input really

seems to make things gel. I think the face-to-face meetings are very

important. They can also be very energizing for us – I always leave feeling

like I have a better handle on things and like I have more umph to keep

going on this issue. Exchanging ideas around a table can be very

productive. -- And you can't HUG on-line.

I hope we’ll have even more fibroidians in April – and I hope that there

will be MeetUps in even more locations. Here’s that website again – just in
