Although my fibroids were not as large as yours I had 6 of them and my uterus was at the size of a 16 to 17 week pregnancy. I personally had a reproductive endocrinologist do my surgery because my OB was not as skilled in doing myos. Have you gone to one for a second opinion? You still have time before April. I did not get the same fears about the possibility of losing my uterus. I think it was because I went to the RE who had a great success rate in terms of myo turning into a hysto. I encourage you to go see an RE. I will think of you on your surgery day and hope for only the best outcome. Keep communicating with this group and keep us posted.
