Guest guest
Hello Ladies, Tomorrow is my second opinion with an RE. I'm seeing Dr. Chetkowski in Berkeley. I hear he's a little " cold " but excellent with a great lab. Anyone on the list have any experiences with him? Just a quick recap of my situation: I am 34 with a 5.5cm fibroid " located posteriorly in the fundus " (whatever that means!), a 4 cm submucusal fibroid (this one partially blocking a fallopian tube) and multiple 1 cm fribroids scatttered throughout the remainder of the myometrium. I have never had children and have been TTC for 3 yrs with no luck. All hormone tests are fine except my FSH which is at 9.4 (10 being the highest level w/in " normal " ). My previous RE recommended a Laparotomy or myo. My Obgyn thought I should seek another opinion before doing surgery. He finds it very suspicious that I've never even miscarried as he's had many succesful " fibroid pregnancy " patiencts and wants to make sure it's not a problem with my egg reserves. I am so nervous and was hoping some of you could help with some questions. It sounds like hysteroscopic resection is the way to go for my submucosal fibroid...but what about the others? Is it worth a try? Or do I have too many fibroids and need a myo? Of course I will address the FSH issue. If any of you have any ideas for other questions to ask...I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks! Deborah
