I had this problem after my myo as well, for several months. I had breakthrough

bleeding and spotting between periods and always had to wear a panty liner

becasue I never knew when it would happen. I hated livng like this, especially

after the horrible bleeding problems I had before my myo with my fibroids. I

was like clockwork before my myo, too.

I had asked my doctor to go back on birth control (for actual birth control),

she put me on a very low dose, Yasmin, and the spotting has gone away.

I had a period a couple weeks ago just when I expected, although it

was different than I had ever had before. (7 days of on and off

spotting- all red. Usually (pre-myo) I would have a few days of brown

spotting following two days of heavy, clotty bleeding)

Last night out of the blue I had some bleeding and then passed 2

large clots, followed by a little more bleeding. Today (so far) it

seems to have stopped.I never had between-period bleeding pre-myo;

have always been like clockwork.

I will call the doctor today, but would really like to know if this

sort of thing is typical after a myo.I still feel very swollen and

tender inside and out, and am having problems emptying my bladder

(which I never had before the myo!)

I was told at pre-op last year that I might have a period like bleed

during my hospital stay. I didn't, but I did have the merest trace of

blood at ovulation post op, that month (just after coming out of

hospital), which had never happened before and the nurse who

took out the staples suggested it was ovulation and it was that

time. This didn't happen again..except that yesterday and today I

seem to have this mid period bleed for the first time ever (apart

from after the myo).

I agree there's no harm in asking a doctor about this, since

you've just had major surgery it' better to check it out.

Ask the doctor about that too. The catheter?

I found I could go to the toilet, but the flow was different. Mention

this to your doctor. You could also try drinking diluted cranberry

juice.
