Guest guest
Hi all, I'm a newbie with a question . . . I've been on continuous birth control since Dec. Periods stopped right away and little breakthrough bleeding. Then about two weeks ago I started spotting (new and old blood). I bleed small amounts every time I use the bathroom and in between and sometimes it looks like tissue is coming out. I am always in some sort of pain and have terrible diarrhea/constipation. I have fibroids, adhesions from surgeries, and possibly adenomyosis. My mom had uterine cancer, which the docs attibuted to hormone therapy after menopause. I am 40 and haven't gone through menopause. My ob-gyn said my uterus " didn't look cancerous " and they couldn't find my ovaries (he said cancerous ovaries are enlarged) and my paps have come back normal. However, I'm now wondering if I should see an oncologist just in case. Is continuous spotting while on birth control common with fibroids/adenomyosis? How do you rule out cancer? I'd appreciate any feedback you can give me. Amy
