Guest guest
hello all; I am very nervous. I have a meeting with my doctor today. I would like to schedule my myo this August. I am afraid, but, i know that it needs to be done. I am told that i have 7 fibroids. they just keep getting bigger. i have experienced different sensations over the past few years, as, they grew. i am 47 years old, but, as others in this group, i want to keep my uterus. i basically fired my other doctor. she would not communicate with me, and, would not even tell me anything about my fibroids. anyway, this is just another " hello " email. you will probably start seeing more from me. Once i schedule surgery and stuff, i may get emotional, and, cry and stuff. Right now, i feel weepy. the man that i had been dating, for a long time, has become distant now. I don't know if he will be around for the surgery. Thankfully, i have family in the Seattle area, where i live. Thanks all. I really will continue to need support, from this group. Guest guest
Hi Patti, Welcome to the list! This is a great place to find out info not given by our doctors (especially gyno's). I see you are 47 (as I am). I am assuming you are past the age of wanting more children. Instead of going through a myo which is major surgery, have you ever considered a UAE? Less invasive procedure and recovery time is cut in half. Before you schedule the surgery, please look into this option. Also, the embo group here on yahoo has a wealth of information concerning UAE. I too wanted to keep my uterus and I have. My heavy bleeding, break through bleeding has stopped. Having a UAE was the best thing I could have done. Another option to consider besides surgery. > hello all; > I am very nervous. I have a meeting with my doctor today. I would like to schedule my myo this August.
