Guest guest Posted March 23, 2004 Report Share Posted March 23, 2004 Hi everyone: I have had 5 monthly injections of Depot Lurpon (started on Lupron in Sept,. 03). I hope to have surgery in April (hysteroscopic resection). I an now starting to bleed again, on and off (also have the bloating, etc. that goes along with it). The bleeding lasts about 3-4 days, then stops. Has anyone had this experience while getting off the Lupron? If the bleeding continues, I will be bleeding in April when I have my surgery. Does the group know if bleeding presents a problem when having surgery? Or does the physician rather no bleeding at the time of the procedure? I'm in a HMO and am waiting until my old gyn doctor gets signed back on in April. I would rather not have any more Lupron. I kind of made me tired and feel old. Would bextra (high-dose Motrin) work to stop the bleeding before surgery? Any information about discontinuance of the Depot Lurpon would be appreciated. The literature I read on Lupron said symptoms (bleeding, etc.) would resume 3-6 weeks after discontinuance. My last shop was Feb. 9, 2004. Thanks everyone.
