New York State DTP vaccine requirement

I have had teh blood test done showing my son is immune to mmr.

However, my ped informed me that the DTP is also required and can not

be tested for. Is the only exemption religious in nys? no medical???

Did he say why he could not test for immunity? It's my understanding

that each component of the DTP can be tested, but that many

physicians refuse either because they do not understand it or don't

want to test and avoid the vax.

I do believe medical is allowed, you just need doctor on board to

sign off on it,NYSDOH website used to have the form Don't know if

they still do.

NY State exeptions are only Religious and Medical but I hear it's hard to

get a dr. to sign off on a medical exemption and easier to just write a

letter stating you need to be exept from vax for religious beliefs andd give

it to the school principle. They are not allowed by law to ask what the

exact religion is.
