Guest guest
I have had teh blood test done showing my son is immune to mmr. However, my ped informed me that the DTP is also required and can not be tested for. Is the only exemption religious in nys? no medical??? Thanks, Nassau co. Guest guest
Did he say why he could not test for immunity? It's my understanding that each component of the DTP can be tested, but that many physicians refuse either because they do not understand it or don't want to test and avoid the vax. Guest guest
I do believe medical is allowed, you just need doctor on board to sign off on it,NYSDOH website used to have the form Don't know if they still do. > > I have had teh blood test done showing my son is immune to mmr. > However, my ped informed me that the DTP is also required and can not > be tested for. Guest guest
NY State exeptions are only Religious and Medical but I hear it's hard to get a dr. to sign off on a medical exemption and easier to just write a letter stating you need to be exept from vax for religious beliefs andd give it to the school principle. They are not allowed by law to ask what the exact religion is. Good Luck, I'm going to be doing this soon too.
