Guest guest
Hi everybody: My hysteroscopic resection is scheduled for June 15th with Dr. Glassner. I have taken out a personal loan to pay for the outpatient surgery because my HMO won't cover surgery with Dr. Glassner because he is out an out of network doctor. I have no regrets taking out the loan, because according to all my research, Dr. Glassner is the best. He is in this month's " Philadelphia " magazine as one of the top doctors in a 10 county area near Philadelphia. He has a national reputation. My surgery is 1 month away and I am already very anxious about it. I only ever had a tonsillectomy as a young child. No other surgeries ever...in my life. I'm trying to take it day by day and not get too freaked out about. I'm also planning on taking a day trip to Atlantic City with my boyfriend and I'm going to try to do fun things prior to my surgery so I'm not sitting around dwelling on it. Does anyone have any other good suggestions for coping with the anxiety of impending surgery? My last does of Lupron has worn off and I began bleeding excessivly again. What a drag. I'm going to get 1 more shot of Lurpon before surgery to control the bleeding until then. I hate that Lupron. The side effects: muscle weakness, bone/joint stiffness. But It's the only thing that stops the bleeding. I have a rx for Megace, took a few days worth, but it hasn't stopped the bleeding yet. Has Megace worked for others to stop the bleeding? My doctor said Lupron works better to stop the bleeding than Megace. Thanks. Jeanne
