Hi Chie

I was wondering how you were as I didn't see you post

any messages for a while.

I think the tiredness is normal. According to my

cousin who's a gyneocology nurse she has e-mailed to

say " Give it 6 months and then you'll know if it's all

been worthwhile " - in other words in 6 months you

should be completely back to normal. Don't forget that

a myo is major surgery especially if you had abdominal

surgery, as my GP keeps reminding me. I still have a

rest every afternoon and I'm just into week 7

post-myo.

Your normal schedule sounds crazy even by a fit and

healthy person's standards!! I don't mean to preach,

but maybe this op will tell you that it's time to

start slowing down even when you're back to normal!!!!

This op has certainly made me realise that most people

spend their whole lives running around like headless

chickens- and for what? I'm quite enjoying chilling

out at the moment, I must admit!! Don't worry if you

need to rest more than usual and fall asleep by 8.30 -

your body is telling you that you need the rest.

I'm hoping to go back to work on 29th, but I'm very

lucky as I'm a part-time uni lecturer and that

particular week only a few clases are running so I

thought it would be a nice gentle introduction to

going back to work. I also work freelance as an

examiner so I'm due to be working in Italy in mid May

for 2 weeks and then Spain for 3 weeks June/July. the

schedule is always hectic - so I hope I'll be able to

cope.

About the bloating- yes I also get this- but I suffer

from IBS- do you get this after eating? In fact I

realise the pains I'm getting are IBS pains as they

come on soon after eating- my whole digestive system

seems to be up the creek - do you get pains as well?

Peppermint tea is supposed to be good for bloating and

pains.

All the best and continue listening to your body and

getting lots of rest and just chilling!

Sue
