Guest guest
Aztek: " What your doctor may not tell you about perimenapause " by Dr. Lee. Excellent book! I learned a lot from it. Very informative talking about the hormonal imbalance women go through in their perimenapausal phase due to estrogen dominance. I got this book when I initially got diagosed with fibroids. Seemed to be great for 2 years, i made diet changes as recommended in the book, used the recommended progesterone cream to balance hormones, which seemed to work, although fibroid did grow anyway, and at 10cm, I had hemmorageing periods which led me to get a UFE on 1/30. Anyway, hopefully the book will give you some helpful suggestions. Good Luck, Jen > Can anyone recommend a book about balancing hormones and > de-stressing and eating the right things for fibroids. > > Ideally this would talk about ordinary foods and not bizarre plant > extracts I'd never even heard of before and would be wary of > swallowing. Guest guest
You might want to look at Dr. Allan Warshowsky's book. I bought this on the recommendation of my (integrative medicine) doctor. It was a while ago now so I don't recall all the details, but he is not a progesterone salesman. You might be able to find some messages here from a while ago. Here is the Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/- /0743418247/qid=1076607699/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/104-7566115-9515140? v=glance&s=books > Can anyone recommend a book about balancing hormones and > de-stressing and eating the right things for fibroids. > > Ideally this would talk about ordinary foods and not bizarre plant > extracts I'd never even heard of before and would be wary of > swallowing.
