Guest guest
Robin, if you're not getting a response, it may be that either no one here has had that procedure, or they weren't told that it would be part of their surgery. Guest guest
I don't know if it's the same thing or not, but I have heard of a colpotomy. In this procedure the fibroid is removed via an incision in the vagina. When I was getting opinions for a lap myomectomy I asked if a colpotomy would be done. Going from memory, the response I received was that it was an old method that was not used very often anymore. I believe that it was no longer used after the introduction of high speed morcellators. The detailed description on the women's surgery site was pretty daunting. Robin
