Guest guest
II don't know if this is what you are describing, but some months ago, I experienced sharp pain at the very very top of both inner thighs. The docs could not figure out what it was, but I think I have solved the mystery! One of my students is about 4 months pregnant. The other day, she confided in me that she went to the emergency room with the pain I describe above (she knows nothing of my health issues) and guess what? The doc said it is NORMAL in pregnancy and due do the EXPANDING UTERUS causing strain on muscles! As we fibroidians know, there are other things besides babies that can make our uteri expand! Guest guest
It's true that when you're pregnant, your uterus can cause pain for various reasons. But when the pain is at the top of the thighs, it could be because of a groin pull. When you're pregnant, a hormone called relaxin causes your muscles to relax and stretch more easily; it's part of getting your body ready for delivery. The downside is that because your muscles stretch so easily, they can be overstretched easily. That's what happened to me several times; once, just trying to walk quickly to get out of the rain caused my muscles to stretch too much. It took me a while to learn to slow down while pregnant.
