Guest guest
it seems that myo would take too much of the uterus (4 fibroids, intamural (in the muscle wall) and submucosal (protruding into uterine lining)) and would surely leave me sterile so, it seems hyserectomy, UFE, or continue to suffer are my choices at this pt. - -- In uterinefibroids , s v wrote: > why not myo but embolization? its effect is not well known on uterus and preserving fertility > > themis973 wrote:I was just diagnosed...4 fibroids, all somewhat small, and an > ovarian cyst, but have had terrible bleeding pain for a year, really > serious in last 2 months. Guest guest
Themis973: I hear ya!!! As soon as I was diagnosed with 5 fibroids, my Dr recommended the wait and see approach for 6 months. I'm 32, no boyfriend, etc. He knew that I would consider children after I finished graduate school and found a boyfriend. After 6 months, mu ultrasound showed 11 fibroids. He said I needed to have a myomectomy to keep my uterus. I took Lupron for 3 months and had my myo on April 2. I realize my fibroids could grow back. He removed 13 and endometriosis. I feel at least I did all I could. I can't think of having children until next year when I finish school. I feel that not only society is pressuring me to get married and have children, but now my own body is too. Well, I don't regret my decisions. I'm glad I had the myo. And, we'll see what happens with a boyfriend and children in the future. I understand how you feel. Take it day by day. That's what I'm doing. Let me know if I can help you in any way with my experience. themis973 themis973@...> wrote:I was just diagnosed...4 fibroids, all somewhat small, and an ovarian cyst, but have had terrible bleeding pain for a year, really serious in last 2 months.
