Dear all,

I had my myo a month ago, but I still feel hardness around the incision and my

incision is still tight, as if I have a belt. When can I expect the tissues

around the incision to become soft and normal again? What's your experience?

Dear Nina,

My myo was 3 weeks ago and I also have a hardness around the incisiin

or maybe a tightness is the correct description. I am just guessing that it

will take a few more weeks to soften up. It doesnt really bother me. I walked

outside for 30 minutes today at a little more than a leisurely stroll

(slightly brisk) and I felt great. Ill go for longer tomorrow. I did work out

before

my surgery( wights and treadmill in the house) and I want to get back to it

bbut not too soon. If anyone can tell me when they started back, it wold help,

Hi Nina & congratulations on being post-surgery...I had a myo in

December, I have about a 6 " bikini incision. My doctor said it would

take about 6 months to fade and soften. It's been 5 months and it is

now a pale pink, softer than it was but there is still some hardness

under it and I still have a small " bulge " of tissue above it, which I

don't like! I have a 6-month checkup next month so we'll see what the

doc says then. But in general you have to give it 6 months to see

what it will look and feel like.

Sunny

But you will see a big change over the next few months, be patient!
