Hi everyone I am suffering with fibroids. I have heavy bleeding, I am anemic and when I have my period I bleed for a whole month. My doc said that my fibroids are on the outside wall of my uterus but he never told me what size they are or anything else. I didn't know about the other options I have because all he has ever talked to me about is a hysterectomy. I would have never known about myo, uab or anything else had it not been for you all and I want to say thanks for all the information and I am open for all the advice and suggestions that anyone can give. I live in Washingotn, DC and I am in need of another gyn. If anyone know of a good doc in my area please let me know. Thank you, sakinah
Guest guest
Sakina, My heart goes out to you! I've suffered from extreme bleeding and had a UFE on 1/30. I am very anemic now which they say will take like 3 months to be normal again. Try the yahoo embo group also. Not that I'm recommending a UFE for you, but you'll get great information from the group. this is where I found my IR and got all my questions answered. Don't wait, anemia is so awful. Good Luck, Jen > > I had already gone up previous Friday for > > pre-op consulattion with surgeon (Dr. Levine) and testing (blood-work). > > It turned out I had 16 fibroids ranging from a softball size on down. > > He said they were " all over " my uterus. > > Hi everyone > I am suffering with fibroids.
