Guest guest
Hi. Don't know if I can advise you but I can tell you that I had a 10 cm fibroid that was sitting on my bladder practically flattening it. It caused me to pee so frequently. Your fibroid may very well be growing. I would request another ultrasound and would be more persistant about this with your gyn. Fibroids cause a lot of pressure to their surrounding organs. Guest guest
To: " Kris " How long ago was the surgery? If it wasn't that long ago, it might be bloatedness from operation recovery? Does it change in different times in the menstrual cycle? Does it change with different types of foods and drinks,e.g. gassiness, weight gain, intolerance, foods that aggravate/help certain health problems? Have you ruled out other different conditions that could cause your symptoms? - try a web search on the symptoms for possible condition lists. Certain foods might help fight certain health problems, such as cranberry juice. I'm afraid I have no clue about the location of the fibroid and the symptoms it will cause there. If you've only just had surgery recently then I wouldn't think there'd be fibroid growth. I suppose taking hormonal contraceptives could be a factor? Are your symptoms listed on any small print information insert on any product you're taking? lately> Could you have got a bladder infection or be affected by a catheter in hospital? I would have thought a GP or gynaecologist should be able to work out what it is, if you have helpful doctors. It might well right itself. Guest guest
Hi Kris, I hope others have advice for you. I only have questions. I had one surgery to have my 6 cm fibroid removed and my endometrial tissues treated. So why didn't your doctor remove the fibroid when you had the surgery? Now, if he didn't think it's the fibroid, what is it that he think that's causing the pressure and pain? Some gyn can be very experienced in fibroid, and many gyns are not. How about finding an RE? But before putting your trust on the next doctor, have a list of questions for him/her first. Jackie -----Original Message----- From: Kris Hi everyone... I have a 7 cm uterine fibroid (size at last u/s 5 mths ago) Don't know if it has grown any or not. The thing is, I didn't think that there was any problems being caused by the fibroid until recently. I have been diagnosed with endometriosis and recently had surgery to treat it. I feel alot of fullness and heaviness in my pelvic area, as well as a centralized pain where my uterus woudld be. The fibroid is growing from the top of my uterus, pretty much right in the middle. I don't know if I could be feeling this fibroid or if it's from the endo. I don't know what to think, and my Dr. doesn't seem to think it is the fibroid. I also have been having bladder problems lately, which I posted about and think it may be tied to the fibroid. Would the fibroid growing on top of my uterus cause pain and pressure, along with bladder issues? I just don't know what to think right now. Maybe I should see a specialist instead of my regular ob/gyn. Who would I see as far as a specialist goes? Hope someone has some advice for me. Thanks in advance to any who do. a
Guest guest
Kris, I responded to your question, I didn't post it though. Instead I sent it to your yahoo email -Shaunah > Hi everyone... > > I have a 7 cm uterine fibroid (size at last u/s 5 mths ago) Don't > know if it has grown any or not.
