Need Advice! Myo scheduled 5/18

I was diagnosed with fibroids in October of 2003. I had been

suffering from pelvic pain for a while, but no one ever knew the

cause. My ultrasound report showed 4 fibroids with the largest being

3cm. My uterus is measuring 11cm and the endometrial stripe is

distorted. I really don't know what all of this means, but from what

I have read my fibroids seem to be small. I also hear grapefruit

size, etc. I don't know what you can compare 3cm to. I don't know

why I have so much pain from them. I have been trying to conceive

for 1 and 1/2 years with no success. I am having a myomectomy next

month to relieve the pain, and to restore fertility. What does my

ultrasound report mean? Will this myomectomy improve my pregnancy

chances? Are my fibroids too small for a myomectomy. I am scared!!!
