Can't decide about surgery?

Hi all,

I had been 'on the fence' about getting an abdominal myo for quite

a while. Researching, terrified, wavering. Then... I had gotten an

MRI to rule out UAE. I got the courage up and requested my films,

which were mailed to me.

HEL-LO! WAKE UP CALL! Actually seeing my fibroid, seeing how

proportionately huge it is, seeing my poor squished abdominal

organs. WOW! I've shown the films to a few people. They thanked

me, saying now they can see what I'm talking about. They also,

almost unanimously, have said, " Oh , you have to have that

removed. "

Now I'm not sure if you can get your actual results from CAT scans

and ultrasounds, nor do I know how good they are. All I know is the

MRI films are v-e-r-y detailed and way cool, kinda.

So if you are trying to decide about treatments, please do try and

actually see your tests results. I found it eye-opening. It gave

me the strength to conclude that I'm more afraid of 10+ years of

squished organs [and the concommitant symptoms] than the surgery.

So linda, are you going thru with the surgery? When is the date?
