What kind of pains are/ have people been experiencing post myo? I'm

getting occasional sharp pains in the centre of my abdomen, pains in

the groin area as if I've pulled a muscle and sharp pains down below

which I think are due to the fact that the doctor thought I had

contracted cystitus- probably from the catheter. What do you

recommend for pain relief? I'm just taking parecetomol at the moment.

How long do the pains last?- I'm currently Day 11 post-myo. My pains

usually come on bad at night- any recommendations so as to get a good

nights sleep- I don't want to resort to sleeping pills.

Sue,

I think the pain should lessen and go away soon, but you may want to

call your doctor to see if you need to do any thing special. After one

week of surgery, I had the pains as if I've pulled the muscle too, but

it was very short (avg 30 min during the day) and only for about three

days, and it stopped. Make sure you walk slowly, no heavy lifting, and

rest a lot.

Hi,

You might try 1 Tylenol PM and 1 regular Tylenol at night for sleep. You don't

wake up groggy this way. One Tylenol can often relax you when you're in pain.
