Hi all,

I am just wondering if anyone can help me with a post-op question. Really

post-op, we're talking 6 months!!! I had my myo in September. I am ttc and

have noticed with my last period some really bad pains in my uterine area. It

felt like I was being squeezed in that area. My periods have been pretty normal

since the surgery. Not like before when I had it for up to 12 days sometimes

and huge clots. I also noticed when I try to feel around a little below my

incision it feels a little hard and tender in some spots. Mostly on the left

side? I plan on seeing my doctor soon but am in the process of changing OB's.

Does this sound familiar to anyone. I am just getting paranoid! I have

heard of others having testing done to see if they are ovulating and also if

there

is scar tissue from the surgery. What are those tests called?

We really hope to get pg soon. But I am also so scared. My biggest fears

are that my uterus won't hold the pregnancy due to having this surgery. Does

anyone have any success stories or advice.

thanks,

Hi,

It's not uncommon to have pains like you describe and have the scar feeling the

way you describe even 6 months after your surgery especially around your period

time.

As far as your worry about uterine rupture during pregnancy, think of all the

women who have had C-sections and then have another child. Rupture is not a

common thing. Know a woman who's had a C-section? Know one who had a rupture?

The uterus is truly amazing.

There's been several here who've had myos and went on and had a baby.

Ask your new doc lots of questions.

Good luck!

Ku

Hi ,

Its your myo buddy, if your feeling that much pain and its unbearable you should

definitely see your Dr.

My scar has no pain but it does feel a lil hard along the incision line, thats a

normal thing is what my Dr reported

My only prob past myo is my period keeps on skipping, so its hard to know when

I'm ovulating, My Dr took a couple of blood test and will go over my hormones

level with me..If I'm not ovulating he will put me on some meds that will make

me ovulate on a regular basis, this will then ensure pregnancy..

Let me know how it goes with your Dr.

You know you can hit me up offline if u wish

Take care!
