Guest guest
NIEHS, Uterine Fibroid Growth Study News http://dir.niehs.nih.gov/direb/fibroids/NEWSletter01022004.pdf This link is to an Adobe Acrobat file. #1 item that caught my attention: " ...vigorous exercise of 3 or more hours per week reduces your risk of fibroids by about 30-40%! " Also: " For each year women started periods before the age of 14, we found a nearly 25% increase in the risk of fibroids. " Um, I think this means I had a 100% increased risk of fibroids...as I started menarche at age 10...damn. This does not bode well for my daughter, either. My early exposure to DDT as a child laborer, as well as other organochlorides used in pesticide control of agricultural crops, was most likely an early culprit of gene mutation. Lovely. And to think we've off-loaded tons and tons of that crap to other countries without the regulatory oversight the EPA offers here...
