Guest guest
Hi Deb, I had my myo about a week after yours. I am back to work for two weeks now, running up and down stairs, and doing my one-hour low impact exercise since last week. I was anemic before the surgery and was always tired. I continue to take my prescribed iron tablets until now; however, I've cut down the dosage two weeks after visiting the doctor. Could it be that you are still anemic? You may want to contact your doctor because like you wrote, you should have a lot more stamina than you do. Jackie looking for advice I had my myomectomy on 1/21/04. How was it for others getting back to work? How did you feel? How long did it take?
Guest guest
Hi Deb- I was out of work for 6 weeks, then I went back 1/2 days for 2 weeks becasue I still felt too tired to work all day. It shocked me, I too was in great shape before my myo and thought I would bounce back quickly. You have to start out slow. If you think about it, going to work each day, even if you have a sedentary job, requires driving to work and home, getting up many times a day--it really is a whole day of activity. That's after almost no activity for several weeks, and a recuperating, stressed body. You will be tired. I think it's good if you can work a few hours a day or 1/2 days to ease yourself back into it. If you can't do that, it's good that you are now pushingyourself to do something a few hours a day. Good luck! norc15 norc15@...> wrote: Hi all, I had my myomectomy on 1/21/04. I feel like it has been too long already that I have been home (5 1/2weeks). I feel like I should have a lot more stamina than I do and I should be able to return to work without problems. I am to return to work next week and feel like it will wipe me out. So how was it for others getting back to work?
Guest guest
You may just find that you have good days and bad. I had to return to work gradually and I think it would have been that way regardless of when I returned to work. I worked long hours on some days and very short hours on other days. I work in my own business, so I had that option and was thankful for it. Kerie In uterinefibroids , " norc15 " wrote: > Hi all, > I had my myomectomy on 1/21/04. I am doing very well.
