Hi Sharon! I hope you continue to have a smooth recovery! Try to

rest and relax as much as you can! I had a UFE for a 10 cm fibroid

and my primary symtom was bleeding and gushing periods, at the end,

inbetween breakthrough bleeding! I had the procedure the end of

Jan. I also realize that I had bulk symtoms also! My fibroid sat

on top of my bladder, crushing it flat (interesting to see this on

the MRI pictures). My procedure was fine, no complications, but I

was so anemic going into the procedure that I had to stay in the

hospital for 3 nights. I was so dizzy. I am doing great now. The

bleeding is a thing of the past. At 7 weeks, my IR said it had

already shrunk 3 cms. At 6 months, I'll get an ultrasound. I still

get up to pee at night. Hopefully with more shrinkage, this will

improve. I am awaiting my 4th period post embo. All is well, and I

am finally able to get on with my life. Thank everyone on the embo

board who supported me every step of the way. Take care

It is such a wonderful feeling to read your e-mail and those of others that are

doing better. I am so glad so many of you are having good results!

You said you were in Syndey, is this Syndey NS? I am trying to find a good

surgeon. This wonderful group is giving me great information. I will try to

find a doctor close to me. I appreciate everyone so much! Everyday I look

forward to reading my e-mail! This is a fantastic group.

I would like to know, from those that have had good results, the name of the

doctor and where to find this person ( city, hospital, address if possible)

Thanks for the good wishes.Alas, it's Sydney Australia a little too

far for you but I notice someone has recommended the wonderful Dr

West.Check the archives though, other ladies live in Canada

especially Jill she may be able to help.Also check the Dr database on

the groups main page for the names of docs recommended, or not, by

the LOL.

Good luck in your search it's not the easiest thing to navigate,I

know.I flew interstate to find a doc with enough experience whilst

also practising within the public hospital system.
