Guest guest
If you consider surgery you should get a second opinion. laparatomy is not so big deal. yes, 2-3 days will be hard but considering your age the recovery will be quick. I am not worried about surgery either but about the long term complications such as adhesions that can affect fertility or can cause chronic pain in the abdomen. by laparoscopy such complications may be eliminated. my doc. said that he removed a 10 cm fibroid a short time ago but that woman desired no more fertility. mine is 10 cm and if he removes it by laparoscopy the uterus may not be sewn well enough to prevent uterine rupture. my concern is the complications. if you can have it removed by laparoscopy have it out immediately. but if you dont have symptoms why to hurry? maybe it will grow so slowly. let us know what you are going to do...
