Guest guest
Hi Everyone First, thanks again for the information from those who posted back on my query for a friend. I forwarded most of these emails along and they were very well received. As it happens, the first thing that my friend's wife decided to do was to have the CA-125 test done again to see what the results would be. They came back low. Two weeks ago she was being told (based on her u/s and the CA-125) to have both ovaries, removed, NOW; this week she gets back test results invalidating the first set of test results. So, they have breathed a big sigh of relief; if they decide to do a biopsy on her cyst, that's ok, or if they decide to do frequent u/s, that's ok too. She does have what she describes as very bad pain during ovulation (worse than any menstrual cramps) and will probably want to investigate whether she can do anything about it or not. BUT she's not rushing to have body parts removed. best, laurie g.
