Guest guest
Hi, I had a myomectomy last June (two fibroids removed). Prior to my surgery, I ate a lot of soy (I'm a vegetarian), and I experienced rapid fibroid growth. Since my surgery, I cut out soy from my diet. Currently, I take Omega 3 fatty acid supplements which contain both fish and flax seed oil. I have read scattered reports that flax, like soy, contains phytoestrogen. Is this true? Does anyone know if flax, like soy, can lead to elevated estrogen levels (and hence, fibroid growth). I would be most grateful if you could share any information that you have with me. I'm trying to do everything possible to prevent future fibroid growth! Thanks, Tam
