Guest guest
You should NOT use Lupron prior to UAE. It constricts the arteries making it difficult to perform UAE. > I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT MY FIBOID. MY GYN SAID IN WAS INRAMUREL. I'M > THINKING OF UFE. IF POSSIBLE. DO THEY GIVE YOU LUPRON 1ST? Guest guest
Donna I had a UAE (UFE same thing) done in January. It was the best thing I ever did. I had horrible bleeding, clotting, break through etc. All of that is gone! Best of all, my uterus, ovaries are intact. There are many IR's (Intervening Radiologists) who perform this procedure in the Chicago area. Mine was done at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge which I know is not near you. I wish I had the link where you could find an IR in your area. Maybe contacting the hospitals in your area can give you somewhere to start or do a search on Google. And no, Lupron is not given prior to the procedure, that is one of the things you want to avoid. It is not necessary to try and shrink the fibroid(s) for a UAE to succeed. > I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT MY FIBOID. MY GYN SAID IN WAS INRAMUREL. I'M > THINKING OF UFE. IF POSSIBLE. Guest guest
Donna was asking for information about a UAE not a MYO. This is done by a IR not an RE. Nice of you to want to warn women about the bad experience you had but you are causing unneeded alarm. You did not inform her that you had that done. The 2 are totally different. > > I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT MY FIBOID. MY GYN SAID IN > > WAS INRAMUREL. I'M > > THINKING OF UFE. IF POSSIBLE. DO THEY GIVE YOU > > LUPRON 1ST? Guest guest
This idiot might say he could do it. He said he could do my first surgery. Or he could give her incorrect information about what treatments might work. He kept me on twice the normal level of Lupron given too often to hide his error. I won't risk her health as he risked mine. She lives in the Chicagoland area, she needs to know where to get GOOD help. If you are asking me why? Because I still am doing physical therapy three times a day due to his mistakes. I know it is done by an IR not an RE but he might not tell her that. What if he talked her into a myo? What if some nice OB/GYN sent her there for a second opinion. Now she knows his name and is safe. --- cgrqueen priorek@...> wrote: > Donna was asking for information about a UAE not a > MYO. Guest guest
Can someone tell me what and IR is and an RE. I went to my gynecologist and he told me to just come back in six months but after reading all this I'm wondering if I should be seeing someone else and doing something about it now........ Guest guest
IR Interventional Radiologist he or she is who you see for an UAE can be found by contacting hospitals radiology departments usually or some states have internet radiologist board lists RE Reproductive Endocrinologist. Some of these folks are the ones with the skills to do a myomectomy. These are your surgurgical wizards. You can find them by word of mouth and other methods but checking them out entails state boards and word of mouth too OBGYN: Your first line of defense. A few can do more but chose well. These are the people who should find the tumor. They should tell you your options. They are likely to say you need a hysterectomy. (The average for most of us seems to be told this about twice before we find this web site) Hope this helps e

Guest guest
I think it is perfectly fine to warn someone of a doc who acted out if turn. Just the dosage of Lupron e received is a huge red flag. WE have to take care of our own. gigi e wrote: >This idiot might say he could do it. He said he could >do my first surgery.
