Guest guest
-Hi , I had this done in April, there was a few seconds of pain and I was warned that I might have some cramping afterwards but I didn't. Mine was a cocoscopy(spelling) and biopsy so she could view my endometrial stripe. I read about the test at webmed.com so I knew what was going to happen. Guest guest
Wait a second. A colposcopy and a endometrial biopsy is NOT the same thing. A colposcopy is when they take a biopsy from the cervix (I have one done every 6 months b/my Pap's are always abnormal) I expect it everytime I go to my gyn's office. An endometrial biopsy is when a sample is taken from the uterus. I know there are many discussion threads regarding endometrial biopsy's in this group. Try doing a search for some of the past posts. -Shaunah > -Hi , I had this done in April, there was a few seconds of pain and I was warned that I might have some cramping afterwards but I didn't. > Mine was a cocoscopy(spelling) and biopsy so she could view my > endometrial stripe. Guest guest
Hi! I had the endo biopsy after my 1st gushing/hemoraging experience during a period. they need to check the lining, and rule out cancer. It's a bit more involved than a pap smear. (longer) A bit more uncomfortable, but necessasary. I was fine, it was pretty quick. Jen -- In uterinefibroids , tangy wrote: > This test freaks me out (catheter scraping the wall of the > uterus). Guest guest
Hi, I would just like to add the suggestion that you ask your ob/gyn about taking advil or motrin prior to your biopsy. Mine recommended it just before leaving home for the appointment. I felt a very small cramp and it was over in about 10 seconds. Gerri I saw yet another gyno > last week who told me she was going to send me to do > an ultrasound, do a blood test and a biopsy before she > proceeded with me.
