Two more to add on to Janet's list:

1. If some have been *that* wrong about mercury being in the brain,

why can't they be just as wrong about mercury being in other

organs...or even accumulating at all, or in the body at all (above

whevever level is in any typcial person)?

2. If it is just a matter of taking lots of antioxidants, we don't

need to bother with chelation, right? OR chelation and antioxidant

detox are interchangeable, right? We can say 'chelation' or 'detox'

but it is really just a matter of using antioxidants regularly. Is

this where this is going?

I'm learning as I go too and I shouldn't speak on behalf of Dr. Bradstreet

because there's always more to the story than the bits and pieces I'm hearing.

In my excitement about the weekend, I posted too quickly and hadn't had a

chance to talk to others, including Dr. Bradstreet, about it yet. I apologize

for

this and I'm going to get more clarification before posting further.

Okay, Jo just posted twice that it did not stay in the brain (the new

information presented)...this is a contradiction that needs

addressing. So...does it or does it not...and how is this known

either way? It might be unknowable either way and all of this is

speculation. But both views are presented as fact.

>>>> We know that DMSA is an anti-oxidant that removes heavy metals

from the body. The thought expressed last weekend in NY, as I

understood it, is that other anti-oxidants will also help the body

to rid itself of heavy metals, especially when used as part of a

protocol designed to increase glutathione production.

I didn't realize that there was a stance by some that anti-oxidants

or any other detox mechanism could *not* remove some metals as part

of all the gunk they remove. To name just one easy example: Isn't

that why ALA is given and ALA is referred to as the universal

antioxidant? So maybe it was just new for those folks.

>>>> Noone is saying this is gospel and nothing applies to everyone

Great. That seems very consistent with human beings and history. But

it was presented as fact without this huge and very important

disclaimer - that it is just proposed theory and speculation at this

point, right? If not, a great deal of explanation is being left out.

And it makes it sound like the 'researchers' really don't know what

is going on, or back-peddling, or retracting things that were

previously stated as facts. And if those things were wrong, how do we

know that other things stated as fact aren't also wrong. This is the

slippery slope.

,

In my mind there's no such thing as fact on these boards. It should all be

taken with a grain of salt and hopefully a few bits and pieces will help you

along the way. If anyone knew all the answers, we wouldn't be here. Our kids

would all be cured and we'd be living happily ever after. I look forward to

that day!
