Guest guest Posted March 6, 2004 Report Share Posted March 6, 2004 Lynn, I had 2 polyps removed 2/21/03 through d&c with hysteroscopy. It was very easy and vastly improved my quailty of life. I am 52 and was having irregular, heavy bleeding, have had fibroids at least 10 years (I believe it's more like 25 years). After the d&c the bleeding stopped. It was great! It has now started again, light bleeding but irregular and going on for longer than 2 weeks. I am going for an MRI, will probably go through with UAE (my fibroids have grown this year) but may also have to have another d&c. Some people may be more prone to produce uterine polyps than others and they can cause alot of bleeding.
