Guest guest
Hello, Yes, I did have a myo 14 years ago (I was 30yrs old) I was told I would have had a very hard time trying to conceive due to my fibroids, so I had them removed. However, after the surgery, I still could not conceive, because of adhesions that had developed due to the surgery, I was then given the option to undergo microsurgery to remove the adhesions or try to conceive through IVF. I chose IVF and today I have 2 boys, and unfortunately I have my fibroids AGAIN. This time around I have been told by Dr. West that because of my age (44 tomorrow) chances are that I will not have to deal with a regrowth of fibroids. Hope he is right. Anyway, there is definitely hope of conceiving after myo, not everyone develops lots of scar tissue like I did, my sister, for instance, also had not one but two myos prior to having her children, and then after that conceived on her own with no problems. Good luck, Marisa -----Original Message----- Marissa - It's great that you are counting down until the myo with Dr. West! I read that you had a myo prior to this upcoming one. Did you have it before you conceived? I am considering myo to end my infertility. I like to hear that there are women out there who conceive after an abdominal myo....thanks!
