Guest guest
I totally agree with you, personally, I only heard positive things about Dr. West (from patients of his) and although he had that issue that led to his license being revoked last year, I still believe that he (at least for me) is the best surgeon around for myos. Dr. West will be operating on me on July 16, I am confident that I will have a successful outcome just like his many other patients. -----Original Message----- I haven't heard about this doctor, but let me say this: I deal with FACTS and not " hearsay " . It's amazing how people have said negative things about a couple of my doctors, but my relationship with my primary and gynecologist has always been positive. I read the message posted by Dr. West and gathered that there is the possibility that the man was wronged. But then again, that's my take on what I read. There may be women who have had success with him and are not in agreement with the negativity. The things I've heard about my gynecologist, some which were negative, didn't deter me from continuing with him. My interactions with him are positive and I feel that he's a capable and caring physician.
Guest guest
Dr west is expensive and not my favorite person due to that but he does take some of us who are called " DIFFICULT " . That was what they called me due to the mess my first doc made. I discussed this with the Doc who did my difficult but sucessful second myo in a year and he pointed out that those who are the best often get the more " Difficult " patients. We arrive in their offices with low hemo levels, on all sorts of wrong or not so right medications, we may have scars and scar tissue from other surgeries, and we are not the most trusting bunch by then. And these better surgeons have to fix others messes. Examples: I only had one tumor and its removal took 30 minutes and time to close me up and wake me up BUT my surgery was over 4 hours. It took hours to enter through my old incision...cut and remove the Masses of scar tissue from my bladder, fallopean tubes, and uterus My recovery time is six months and counting but I do have a normal period and the rest is getting better slowly. Yet again my general practioner told me that I must be patient. It took me a long time to get that sick and it will take time to get back to normal (darn hemo level)but if you come out of the surgery and are a difficult patientand you don't get the perfect results you may be unhappy and file a complaint....(I prefer to but blame where it belongs...on the first idiot) Make your own judgement if you can afford him
Guest guest
Guys, I agree with all of you and I am sure tehre will be 1000 of different opinions. I didn't prersonally dealt with Dr West and want to appologize if I gave the wrong impression. You do your own research before choosing the doctor and no way I meant to make you change your mind. I just wanted to say that I saw some posts about him before on babycenter, that's all. Thanks. > > -----Original Message----- > From: vitajay85@h... > > I haven't heard about this doctor, but let me say this: > > I deal with FACTS and not " hearsay " .
