Hi Ladies,

I post infrequently but I do keep abreast by reading the posts. The

information I have received from you all is truly amazing and so

informative. Thank you so much. I have been on this fibroid merry go

around about 3 years, with the uncontrollable bleeding, anemia, fast

growing fibroids. I initially wanted to get a UFE but after my

consult with an IR, I realized that my fibroids were just too big,

plus they have caused other complications. I have two prominent

fibroids and a bunch of little ones which makes my uterus 25 cm. The

two prominent fibroids, one is 17 cm and the other is 11 cm. I have

a small frame and look very pregnant. Anyway my fibroids because

they are pressing on the invena cava (large vein that carries blood

from the legs to the heart)caused me to have two pulmonary embolism

(blood clot to the lung)I have been on blood thinners since last

july. So surgery for me pose some problems. Anyway my surgery is

set for this Friday, May 28, 2004 with Dr. West in NYC. Because of

the size of my fibroids and along with the other factors, I felt I

would only feel safe with a skilled physician, and so I consulted Dr.

West.

ne--I am happy to hear that you and some others on the list

have had good recoveries and felt you were in good hands with Dr.

West. I look forward to getting rid of these fibroids, having

energy, just living again, and getting back into my normal clothes

none that fit properly at this time.

Good luck to all others with scheduled surgeries in the up coming

months.
