Guest guest
Does anyone know of a Doctor who is good with Fibroid and treatment in the NW Illinois area or anywhere in Illinois. I'll drive!! My fibroids are so large it is alarming most doctors. I am 48 and was recently sent to an Oncologist at Northwestern Hospital, for my tumors because the CT Scan said tumors were suspicious for Ovar Cancer. They are large... 35 week pregnancy size or 12x17 cm. The Doctor walked in felt the tumors and said to me " Common Logic should tell you that this should be removed. " I said Ok yes but can you do it without a hysterectomy. He said No. I said are the malignant. He said I can't tell until I open you up. But I will have to do a hysterectomy. After all the common scare tactics, You're old, not having more kids, it can be cancer, Hysterectomy won't bother anything, It's safe. I said NO. They don't bother me so why should I have surgery? I asked for a CA125 and he said no. Its not accurate. He finally agreed to do a MRI. Well I had another doctor order a CA125 and CEA. Both can back pretty low. The CA125 was 15 and the CEA was .9. I'm sick of doctors telling me to have a hyterectomy because of the size of the tumors when THEY DON'T BOTHER ME!!! Pressure from the size is my biggest complaint. I still think i should watch and wait. Menapause should be just around the corner. Hopefully they will start to shrink. Any good doctors in my area?? Guest guest
I went to Dr Zinamen at Loyola for good care and a myomectomy but if you want to wait and see then maybe you need an OB/GYN not an RE note AVOID Dr A Caruso he was at Midwest Fertility but has left but is still in IL somewhere near Chicago practicing. He made a mess of me that has taken over 6 months to recover from!!!! He made the incision in the wrong place, left scar tissue everywhere and did a " placebo " myomectomy (I mean he left in my fibroid and told me and my parents that he took it out) e --- myttoo myttoo@...> wrote: > Does anyone know of a Doctor who is good with > Fibroid and treatment > in the NW Illinois area or anywhere in Illinois. > I'll drive!! Guest guest
e Thats pretty scary. I agree you should file a lawsuit for that. Are you happy with the Myo? Did you have large tumors?
