Thanks for your imput, Carla. Dr. Toaff's statement was in response to my

question asking him if he knew of any physicians closer to my home (Iowa) who

perform that type of surgery. He also said " adenomyosis resection " is

significantly different than myomectomy, so that discouraged me from researching

out physicians closer to home that do myomectomy.

Am I correct, then in understanding that adenomyosis resection may be

accomplished with myomectomy--assuming I can find a physician who has experience

in doing so?

Can you clarify for me, is " resection " another word for " reconstruction " (of the

uterus after removal of the disease)?
